Why loading together costs less
A carrier's costs are mostly fixed per trip: fuel, driver hours, tolls, insurance, wear. Those costs do not double because a second car is on the deck. When several vehicles share one journey, they share those fixed costs, and the rate per vehicle drops accordingly.
The saving is largest when everything loads from one address and delivers to one address. Every additional stop adds driver time and complexity, which eats into the discount. Two cars from the same driveway to the same destination is the cheapest possible version of this job.
There is a second benefit that people underestimate. One booking means one schedule, one driver's phone number and one delivery day, instead of tracking separate shipments that arrive three days apart.

What changes the size of the saving
The discount is not a fixed percentage. It depends on how efficiently your vehicles fit together on a real trailer.
Three sedans from one driveway to one address is the ideal case, because the load is compact, the stops are minimal and the weight is manageable. Three full-size pickups from three different towns to three different destinations is a different job entirely: more deck space, more weight, more driver hours, and a smaller saving as a result.
Send us the full list rather than asking about one vehicle first. We can only price the efficiency of the load once we can see all of it, and the answer is frequently better than people expect.

How much cheaper is shipping two cars together?
It varies with the vehicles and the route, but the saving against two separate bookings is usually substantial because the fixed costs of the trip are shared. Send both vehicles and we will show you the comparison.
Do all the vehicles have to go to the same address?
No, but it is cheapest when they do. Separate destinations add driver hours and stops, which reduces the saving. Destinations reasonably close together keep most of the benefit.
Can I mix running and non-running vehicles?
Yes, provided we know in advance. The load needs a winch-equipped carrier, so tell us which units do not start when you send the list.
What is the maximum number of vehicles on one trailer?
A standard open carrier holds seven to ten, depending on size and weight. Enclosed trailers hold fewer, typically two to seven. Larger fleets are split across multiple trailers and scheduled together.
Will they all arrive at the same time?
Yes, when they travel on the same trailer. That is one of the main practical advantages over separate bookings, which often arrive days apart.
Can I mix open and enclosed in one booking?
Not on one trailer, but we can coordinate two shipments under a single booking with one coordinator, which is common when one vehicle in a group is significantly more valuable.
