Some relocations are not really about the vehicle. They are about a senior person whose time is expensive and whose patience for logistics is limited.
What VIP actually means here
It is not a premium badge on a standard service. It describes moves where three things are true at once: the vehicle is valuable, the schedule is fixed around someone else's diary, and the person involved should not have to think about it.
That combination changes how the job is run. Enclosed transport as standard. Scheduling worked backwards from a date that will not move. And a single named contact who handles the whole thing rather than a coordinator who changes between calls.
Where it applies
- Executive relocations — senior hires and internal transfers where the vehicle should arrive with them, not a week later
- Collections — several vehicles moving between residences, storage or events as a single planned job
- Seasonal residence moves — the same vehicles between two homes, twice a year, on a predictable calendar
- Event and concours transport — where the arrival date is the entire point
- Household relocations with high-value vehicles — coordinated to land around a move-in date
How it is handled
- Vehicle profile first. Model, ground clearance, modifications, declared value and anything the driver needs to know about starting or moving it.
- Equipment matched to the car. Enclosed trailer with a lift gate where clearance calls for it, not simply the nearest enclosed truck.
- Schedule built backwards. From the date it must be there, with a buffer for weather and traffic rather than a plan that only works perfectly.
- Documented handover. Photographed condition at both ends, and a walkthrough with whoever releases and receives.
On deadlines. Tell us the date the vehicle must be in place, not the date you would like it collected. We will work backwards and build in margin. A car that arrives the morning after it was needed is worth the same as one that never left.
Discretion
These moves often involve addresses and names that should not circulate. Details are shared with the assigned driver only, and only what is needed to complete the collection and delivery.
If a residence should not appear on paperwork, tell us at booking and we will arrange a nearby collection point instead. That is a normal request and it is easier to plan in advance than to improvise.
Multiple vehicles
Collections are worth planning as one job rather than several bookings. One trailer, one driver and one schedule means less coordination for you and usually a better rate per vehicle than moving them piecemeal.
If the vehicles differ significantly in clearance or value, we may recommend splitting them across two trailers. We will explain why rather than quietly loading a low car onto the wrong equipment.
VIP relocation questions
Is enclosed transport always used?
For VIP moves, yes. The premium is not the point of the service, but the exposure of open transport is not appropriate for the vehicles this applies to.
Can you avoid listing a private residence on paperwork?
Yes. Tell us at booking and we will arrange a nearby collection or delivery point instead. It is a common request and much easier to plan in advance.
How far ahead should we book?
Three to four weeks where possible. Enclosed capacity with lift-gate equipment is thinner than standard transport, and event season tightens it further on the affected routes.
Can several vehicles move together?
Yes, and it is usually better on both cost and coordination. If the vehicles differ a lot in clearance or value we may suggest splitting them, and we will explain why.
Who will we be dealing with?
One named coordinator for the whole move, from the first call through to delivery confirmation. You will not be re-explaining the job to anyone.
